KJV w/Strong# (From the
ABS Reference Bible CDROM, published by the American
Bible Society. Used by permission.) Verse numbers are indicated by
French brackets { }. Strong's numbers are enclosed in less-than
and greater-than signs < > and identify the Hebrew or Greek
words from which the KJV words were translated. For a list of some
very helpful Bible study resources that are keyed to Strong's number system,
browse or click on http://www.bibletexts.com/strongs.htm.
Please keep in mind that the Strong's numbers do not necessarily represent
the Hebrew and Greek words that were in the original texts -- only those
Hebrew and Greek texts from which the KJV was translated.
All the books of the Old Testament, except Daniel, were first written in Hebrew. The Book of Daniel was first written in Aramaic. And all the books of the New Textament were first written in Greek. The United Bible Societies' Biblia Hebraica and Greek New Testament are the most internationally recognized and definitive reconstructions of the original texts. They are based upon an exhaustive analysis of all of the thousands of available ancient manuscripts. The Hebrew and Greek texts from which the KJV were translated had many errors. {See S&H 139:15-22} This explains why some of the KJV (and New KJV) texts differ so significantly from reliable modern versions. (The New KJV is not really a new translation. It is really simply a modernization of the language of the KJV, and it contains all of the errors that are in the KJV.) Most modern versions are based upon today's best approximation of "the original texts." {See S&H 24:4.} For more details, you can browse or click on http://www.bibletexts.com/kjv-mod.htm to read an article entitled, "Why the King James Version differs with modern versions."

KJV w/Strong# - {11} Thine, O LORD <03068>, [is] the greatness <01420>, and the power <01369>, and the glory <08597>, and the victory <05331>, and the majesty <01935>: for all <03605> [that is] in the heaven <08064> and in the earth <0776> [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom <04467>, O LORD <03068>, and thou art exalted <05375> as head <07218> above all <03605>.
NRSV - 11 Yours, O LORD, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.
TEV - "David Praises God" - 10 There in front of the whole assembly King David praised the LORD. He said, "LORD God of our ancestor Jacob, may you be praised forever and ever! 11 You are great and powerful, glorious, splendid, and majestic. Everything in heaven and earth is yours, and you are king, supreme ruler over all. 12 All riches and wealth come from you; you rule everything by your strength and power; and you are able to make anyone great and strong. 13 Now, our God, we give you thanks, and we praise your glorious name.
KJV w/Strong# - {13} Who <04310> hath directed <08505> the Spirit <07307> of the LORD <03068>, or [being] his counsellor <06098> hath taught <03045> him? {14} With whom <04310> took he counsel <03289>, and [who] instructed <0995> him, and taught <03925> him in the path <0734> of judgment <04941>, and taught <03925> him knowledge <01847>, and shewed <03045> to him the way <01870> of understanding <08394>?
{18} To whom <04310> then will ye liken <01819> God <0410>? or what <04100> likeness <01823> will ye compare <06186> unto him?
NRSV - 13 Who has directed the spirit of the LORD, or as his counselor has instructed him? 14 Whom did he consult for his enlightenment, and who taught him the path of justice? Who taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
18 To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?
TEV - "Israel's Incomparable God" - 12 Can anyone measure the ocean by handfuls or measure the sky with his hands? Can anyone hold the soil of the earth in a cup or weigh the mountains and hills on scales? 13 Can anyone tell the LORD what to do? Who can teach him or give him advice? 14 With whom does God consult in order to know and understand and to learn how things should be done?
18 To whom can God be compared? How can you describe what he is like? 19 He is not like an idol that workmen make, that metalworkers cover with gold and set in a base of silver. 20 The man who cannot afford silver or gold chooses wood that will not rot. He finds a skillful craftsman to make an image that won't fall down.
KJV w/Strong# - {6} Thus <03541> saith <0559> the LORD <03068> the King <04428> of Israel <03478>, and his redeemer <01350> the LORD <03068> of hosts <06635>; I [am] the first <07223>, and I [am] the last <0314>; and beside <01107> me [there is] no <0369> God <0430>. {7} And who <04310>, as I, shall call <07121>, and shall declare <05046> it, and set it in order <06186> for me, since I appointed <07760> the ancient <05769> people <05971>? and the things that are coming <0857>, and shall come <0935>, let them shew <05046> unto them. {8} Fear <06342> ye not, neither <0408> be afraid <07297>: have not I told <08085> thee from that time <0227>, and have declared <05046> [it]? ye [are] even my witnesses <05707>. Is there a God <0433> beside <01107> me? yea, [there is] no <0369> God <06697>; I know <03045> not [any].
NRSV - 6 Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. 7 Who is like me? Let them proclaim it, let them declare and set it forth before me. Who has announced from of old the things to come? Let them tell us what is yet to be. 8 Do not fear, or be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? You are my witnesses! Is there any god besides me? There is no other rock; I know not one.
TEV - "The LORD Is the Only God" - 6 The LORD, who rules and protects Israel, the LORD Almighty, has this to say: "I am the first, the last, the only God; there is no other god but me. 7 Could anyone else have done what I did? Who could have predicted all that would happen from the very beginning to the end of time? 8 Do not be afraid, my people! You know that from ancient times until now I have predicted all that would happen, and you are my witnesses. Is there any other god? Is there some powerful god I never heard of?"
<B1> John 4
KJV w/Strong# - {24} God <2316> [is] a Spirit <4151>: and they that worship <4352> him must <1163> worship <4352> [him] in spirit <4151> and in truth <225>.
NRSV - 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
TEV - "Jesus and the Samaritan Woman" - 21 Jesus said to her, "Believe me, woman, the time will come when people will not worship the Father either on this mountain or in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans do not really know whom you worship; but we Jews know whom we worship, because it is from the Jews that salvation comes. 23 But the time is coming and is already here, when by the power of God's Spirit people will worship the Father as he really is, offering him the true worship that he wants. 24 God is Spirit, and only by the power of his Spirit can people worship him as he really is."
KJV w/Strong# - {5} Thus <03541> saith <0559> God <0410> the LORD <03068>, he that created <01254> the heavens <08064>, and stretched <05186> them out; he that spread <07554> forth the earth <0776>, and that which cometh <06631> out of it; he that giveth <05414> breath <05397> unto the people <05971> upon it, and spirit <07307> to them that walk <01980> therein:
{8} I [am] the LORD <03068>: that [is] my name <08034>: and my glory <03519> will I not give <05414> to another <0312>, neither my praise <08416> to graven <06456> images.
NRSV - 5 Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it:
8 I am the LORD, that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to idols.
TEV - "The LORD's Servant" - 5 God created the heavens and stretched them out; he fashioned the earth and all that lives there; he gave life and breath to all its people. And now the LORD God says to his servant, 6 "I, the LORD, have called you and given you power to see that justice is done on earth. Through you I will make a covenant with all peoples; through you I will bring light to the nations. 7 You will open the eyes of the blind and set free those who sit in dark prisons. 8 "I alone am the LORD your God. No other god may share my glory; I will not let idols share my praise. 9 The things I predicted have now come true. Now I will tell you of new things even before they begin to happen."
KJV w/Strong# - {8} Drop <07491> down, ye heavens <08064>, from above <04605>, and let the skies <07834> pour <05140> down righteousness <06664>: let the earth <0776> open <06605>, and let them bring <06509> forth <06509> salvation <03468>, and let righteousness <06666> spring <06779> up together <03162>; I the LORD <03068> have created <01254> it. {9} Woe <01945> unto him that striveth <07378> with his Maker <03335>! [Let] the potsherd <02789> [strive] with the potsherds <02789> of the earth <0127>. Shall the clay <02563> say <0559> to him that fashioneth <03335> it, What <04100> makest <06213> thou? or thy work <06467>, He hath no <0369> hands <03027>?
{12} I have made <06213> the earth <0776>, and created <01254> man <0120> upon it: I, [even] my hands <03027>, have stretched <05186> out the heavens <08064>, and all <03605> their host <06635> have I commanded <06680>.
NRSV - 8 Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation may spring up, and let it cause righteousness to sprout up also; I the LORD have created it. 9 Woe to you who strive with your Maker, earthen vessels with the potter! Does the clay say to the one who fashions it, "What are you making"? or "Your work has no handles"?
12 I made the earth, and created humankind upon it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.
TEV - "The LORD Appoints Cyrus" - 5 "I am the LORD; there is no other god. I will give you the strength you need, although you do not know me. 6 I do this so that everyone from one end of the world to the other may know that I am the LORD and that there is no other god. 7 I create both light and darkness; I bring both blessing and disaster. I, the LORD, do all these things. 8 I will send victory from the sky like rain; the earth will open to receive it and will blossom with freedom and justice. I, the LORD, will make this happen."
"The LORD of Creation and History" - 9 Does a clay pot dare argue with its maker, a pot that is like all the others? Does the clay ask the potter what he is doing? Does the pot complain that its maker has no skill? 10 Does anyone dare say to his parents, "Why did you make me like this?" 11 The LORD, the holy God of Israel, the one who shapes the future, says: "You have no right to question me about my children or to tell me what I ought to do! 12 I am the one who made the earth and created mankind to live there. By my power I stretched out the heavens; I control the sun, the moon, and the stars.
KJV w/Strong# - {24} O LORD <03068>, how <04100> manifold <07231> are thy works <04639>! in wisdom <02451> hast thou made <06213> them all <03605>: the earth <0776> is full <04390> of thy riches <07075>.
{30} Thou sendest <07971> forth thy spirit <07307>, they are created <01254>: and thou renewest <02318> the face <06440> of the earth <0127>.
DHH - 24 ¡Cuántas cosas has hecho, Señor!
NRSV - 24 O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
30 When you send forth your spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the ground.
TEV - "In Praise of the Creator" - 24 LORD, you have made so many things! How wisely you made them all! The earth is filled with your creatures. 25 There is the ocean, large and wide, where countless creatures live, large and small alike. 26 The ships sail on it, and in it plays Leviathan, that sea monster which you made. 27 All of them depend on you to give them food when they need it. 28 You give it to them, and they eat it; you provide food, and they are satisfied. 29 When you turn away, they are afraid; when you take away your breath, they die and go back to the dust from which they came. 30 But when you give them breath, they are created; you give new life to the earth.
<B5> 1 John 4
KJV w/Strong# - {1} Beloved <27>, believe <4100> not every <3956> spirit <4151>, but try <1381> the spirits <4151> whether <1487> they are of God <2316>: because <3754> many <4183> false <5578> prophets <5578> are gone <1831> out into <1519> the world <2889>.
{4} Ye are of God <2316>, little <5040> children <5040>, and have overcome <3528> them: because <3754> greater <3187> is he that is in you, than <2228> he that is in the world <2889>.
NRSV - 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
4 Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
TEV - "The True Spirit and the False Spirit" - 1 My dear friends, do not believe all who claim to have the Spirit, but test them to find out if the spirit they have comes from God. For many false prophets have gone out everywhere. 2 This is how you will be able to know whether it is God's Spirit: anyone who acknowledges that Jesus Christ came as a human being has the Spirit who comes from God. 3 But anyone who denies this about Jesus does not have the Spirit from God. The spirit that he has is from the Enemy of Christ; you heard that it would come, and now it is here in the world already. 4 But you belong to God, my children, and have defeated the false prophets, because the Spirit who is in you is more powerful than the spirit in those who belong to the world. 5 Those false prophets speak about matters of the world, and the world listens to them because they belong to the world. 6 But we belong to God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever does not belong to God does not listen to us. This, then, is how we can tell the difference between the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
KJV w/Strong# - {14}... the Spirit <07307> of the LORD <03068> departed <05493> from Saul <07586>, and an evil <07451> spirit <07307> from the LORD <03068> troubled <01204> him. {15} And Saul's <07586> servants <05650> said <0559> unto him, Behold <02009> now <04994>, an evil <07451> spirit <07307> from God <0430> troubleth <01204> thee. {16} Let our lord <0113> now <04994> command <0559> thy servants <05650>, [which are] before <06440> thee, to seek <01245> out a man <0376>, [who is] a cunning <03045> player <05059> on an harp <03658>: and it shall come <01961> to pass, when the evil <07451> spirit <07307> from God <0430> is upon thee, that he shall play <05059> with his hand <03027>, and thou shalt be well <02895>. {17} And Saul <07586> said <0559> unto his servants <05650>, Provide <07200> me now <04994> a man <0376> that can play <05059> well <03190>, and bring <0935> [him] to me. {18} Then answered <06030> one <0259> of the servants <05288>, and said <0559>, Behold <02009>, I have seen <07200> a son <01121> of Jesse <03448> the Bethlehemite <01022>, [that is] cunning <03045> in playing <05059>, and a mighty <01368> valiant <02428> man, and a man <0376> of war <04421>, and prudent <0995> in matters <01697>, and a comely <08389> person <0376>, and the LORD <03068> [is] with him.
{22} And Saul <07586> sent <07971> to Jesse <03448>, saying <0559>, Let David <01732>, I pray <04994> thee, stand <05975> before <06440> me; for he hath found <04672> favour <02580> in my sight <05869>. {23} And it came <01961> to pass, when the [evil] spirit <07307> from God <0430> was upon Saul <07586>, that David <01732> took <03947> an harp <03658>, and played <05059> with his hand <03027>: so Saul <07586> was refreshed <07304>, and was well <02895>, and the evil <07451> spirit <07307> departed <05493> from him.
NRSV - 14 ...the spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him. 15 And Saul's servants said to him, "See now, an evil spirit from God is tormenting you. 16 Let our lord now command the servants who attend you to look for someone who is skillful in playing the lyre; and when the evil spirit from God is upon you, he will play it, and you will feel better." 17 So Saul said to his servants, "Provide for me someone who can play well, and bring him to me." 18 One of the young men answered, "I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is skillful in playing, a man of valor, a warrior, prudent in speech, and a man of good presence; and the LORD is with him."
22 Saul sent to Jesse, saying, "Let David remain in my service, for he has found favor in my sight." 23 And whenever the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, David took the lyre and played it with his hand, and Saul would be relieved and feel better, and the evil spirit would depart from him.
TEV - "David in Saul's Court" - 14 The LORD's spirit left Saul, and an evil spirit sent by the LORD tormented him. 15 His servants said to him, "We know that an evil spirit sent by God is tormenting you. 16 So give us the order, sir, and we will look for a man who knows how to play the harp. Then when the evil spirit comes on you, the man can play his harp, and you will be all right again." 17 Saul ordered them, "Find me a man who plays well and bring him to me." 18 One of his attendants said, "Jesse of the town of Bethlehem has a son who is a good musician. He is also a brave and handsome man, a good soldier, and an able speaker. The LORD is with him." 19 So Saul sent messengers to Jesse to say, "Send me your son David, the one who takes care of the sheep." 20 Jesse sent David to Saul with a young goat, a donkey loaded with bread, and a leather bag full of wine. 21 David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much and chose him as the man to carry his weapons. 22 Then Saul sent a message to Jesse: "I like David. Let him stay here in my service." 23 From then on, whenever the evil spirit sent by God came on Saul, David would get his harp and play it. The evil spirit would leave, and Saul would feel better and be all right again.
KJV w/Strong# - {10} Teach <03925> me to do <06213> thy will <07522>; for thou [art] my God <0430>: thy spirit <07307> [is] good <02896>; lead <05148> me into the land <0776> of uprightness <04334>. {11} Quicken <02421> me, O LORD <03068>, for thy name's <08034> sake: for thy righteousness <06666>' sake bring <03318> my soul <05315> out of trouble <06869>.
NRSV - 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on a level path. 11 For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life. In your righteousness bring me out of trouble.
TEV - "A Prayer for Help" - 7 Answer me now, LORD! I have lost all hope. Don't hide yourself from me, or I will be among those who go down to the world of the dead. 8 Remind me each morning of your constant love, for I put my trust in you. My prayers go up to you; show me the way I should go. 9 I go to you for protection, LORD; rescue me from my enemies. 10 You are my God; teach me to do your will. Be good to me, and guide me on a safe path. 11 Rescue me, LORD, as you have promised; in your goodness save me from my troubles! 12 Because of your love for me, kill my enemies and destroy all my oppressors, for I am your servant.
KJV w/Strong# - {7} For God <2316> hath not given <1325> us the spirit <4151> of fear <1167>; but of power <1411>, and of love <26>, and of a sound <4995> mind <4995>.
NRSV - 7 for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
TEV - "Thanksgiving and Encouragement" - 3 I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did. I thank him as I remember you always in my prayers night and day. 4 I remember your tears, and I want to see you very much, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I remember the sincere faith you have, the kind of faith that your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice also had. I am sure that you have it also. 6 For this reason I remind you to keep alive the gift that God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For the Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control.

TEV - "The LORD's Servant" - 1 The LORD says, "Here is my servant, whom I strengthen -- the one I have chosen, with whom I am pleased. I have filled him with my spirit, and he will bring justice to every nation. 2 He will not shout or raise his voice or make loud speeches in the streets. 3 He will not break off a bent reed nor put out a flickering lamp. He will bring lasting justice to all. 4 He will not lose hope or courage; he will establish justice on the earth. Distant lands eagerly wait for his teaching."
KJV w/Strong# - {14} And Jesus <2424> returned <5290> in the power <1411> of the Spirit <4151> into <1519> Galilee <1056>: and there went <1831> out a fame <5345> of him through <2596> all <3650> the region <4066> round <4066> about <4066>.

NRSV - 22 Then they brought to him a demoniac who was blind and mute; and he cured him, so that the one who had been mute could speak and see. 23 All the crowds were amazed and said, "Can this be the Son of David?" 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "It is only by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons, that this fellow casts out the demons." 25 He knew what they were thinking and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. 26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? 27 If I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own exorcists cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you.
TEV - "Jesus and Beelzebul" - 22 Then some people brought to Jesus a man who was blind and could not talk because he had a demon. Jesus healed the man, so that he was able to talk and see. 23 The crowds were all amazed at what Jesus had done. "Could he be the Son of David?" they asked. 24 When the Pharisees heard this, they replied, "He drives out demons only because their ruler Beelzebul gives him power to do so." 25 Jesus knew what they were thinking, and so he said to them, "Any country that divides itself into groups which fight each other will not last very long. And any town or familythat divides itself into groups which fight each other will fall apart. 26 So if one group is fighting another in Satan's kingdom, this means that it is already divided into groups and will soon fall apart! 27 You say that I drive out demons because Beelzebul gives me the power to do so. Well, then, who gives your followers the power to drive them out? What your own followers do proves that you are wrong! 28 No, it is not Beelzebul, but God's Spirit, who gives me the power to drive out demons, which proves that the Kingdom of God has already come upon you.

KJV w/Strong# - {24} No <3762> man <3762> can <1410> serve <1398> two <1417> masters <2962>: for either <2228> he will hate <3404> the one <1520>, and love <25> the other <2087>; or <2228> else he will hold <472> to the one <1520>, and despise <2706> the other <2087>. Ye cannot <1410> serve <1398> God <2316> and mammon <3126>.
NRSV - 24 "No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
TEV - "God and Possessions" - 24 "No one can be a slave of two masters; he will hate one and love the other; he will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. 25 "This is why I tell you: do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn't life worth more than food? And isn't the body worth more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds? 27 Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?
KJV w/Strong# - {4} Hear <08085> ye the word <01697> of the LORD <03068>, O house <01004> of Jacob <03290>, and all <03605> the families <04940> of the house <01004> of Israel <03478>:
{11} Hath a nation <01471> changed <04171> [their] gods <0430>, which <01992> [are] yet no <03808> gods <0430>? but my people <05971> have changed <04171> their glory <03519> for [that which] doth not profit <03276>.
NRSV - 4 Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel.
11 Has a nation changed its gods, even though they are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for something that does not profit.
TEV - "The Sin of Israel's Ancestors" - 4 Listen to the LORD's message, you descendants of Jacob, you tribes of Israel. 5 The LORD says: "What accusation did your ancestors bring against me? What made them turn away from me? They worshiped worthless idols and became worthless themselves. 6 They did not care about me, even though I rescued them from Egypt and led them through the wilderness: a land of deserts and sand pits, a dry and dangerous land where no one lives and no one will even travel.
"The LORD's Case against His People" - 9 "And so I, the LORD, will state my case against my people again. I will bring charges against their descendants. 10 Go west to the island of Cyprus, and send someone eastward to the land of Kedar. You will see that nothing like this has ever happened before. 11 No other nation has ever changed its gods, even though they were not real. But my people have exchanged me, the God who has brought them honor, for gods that can do nothing for them.
KJV w/Strong# - {15} We looked <06960> for peace <07965>, but no <0369> good <02896> [came; and] for a time <06256> of health <04832>, and behold <02009> trouble <01205>!
{22} [Is there] no <0369> balm <06875> in Gilead <01568>; [is there] no <0369> physician <07495> there? why <04069> then <03588> is not the health <0724> of the daughter <01323> of my people <05971> recovered <05927>?
NRSV - 15 We look for peace, but find no good, for a time of healing, but there is terror instead.
22 Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of my poor people not been restored?
TEV - "Sin and Punishment" - 14 "Why are we sitting still?" God's people ask. "Come on, we will run to the fortified cities and die there. The LORD our God has condemned us to die; he has given us poison to drink, because we have sinned against him. 15 We hoped for peace and a time of healing, but it was no use; terror came instead. 16 Our enemies are already in the city of Dan; we hear the snorting of their horses. The whole land trembles when their horses neigh. Our enemies have come to destroy our land and everything in it, our city and all its people." 17 "Watch out!" the LORD says, "I am sending snakes among you, poisonous snakes that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you."
"Jeremiah's Sorrow for His People" - 20 The people cry out, "The summer is gone, the harvest is over, but we have not been saved." 21 My heart has been crushed because my people are crushed; I mourn; I am completely dismayed. 22 Is there no medicine in Gilead? Are there no doctors there? Why, then, have my people not been healed?
KJV w/Strong# - {20} Assemble <06908> yourselves and come <0935>; draw near <05066> together <03162>, ye [that are] escaped <06412> of the nations <01471>: they have no <03808> knowledge <03045> that set <05375> up the wood <06086> of their graven <06459> image, and pray <06419> unto a god <0410> [that] cannot <03808> save <03467>.
{22} Look <06437> unto me, and be ye saved <03467>, all the ends <0657> of the earth <0776>: for I [am] God <0410>, and [there is] none <0369> else <05750>.
NRSV - 20 Assemble yourselves and come together, draw near, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge -- those who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save.
22 Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
TEV - "The LORD of the World and the Idols of Babylon" - 20 The LORD says, "Come together, people of the nations, all who survive the fall of the empire; present yourselves for the trial! The people who parade with their idols of wood and pray to gods that cannot save them -- those people know nothing at all! 21 Come and present your case in court; let the defendants consult one another. Who predicted long ago what would happen? Was it not I, the LORD, the God who saves his people? There is no other god. 22 "Turn to me now and be saved, people all over the world! I am the only God there is. 23 My promise is true, and it will not be changed. I solemnly promise by all that I am: Everyone will come and kneel before me and vow to be loyal to me. 24 "They will say that only through me are victory and strength to be found; but all who hate me will suffer disgrace. 25 I, the LORD, will rescue all the descendants of Jacob, and they will give me praise.
KJV w/Strong# - {2} Bless <01288> the LORD <03068>, O my soul <05315>, and forget <07911> not all <03605> his benefits <01576>: {3} Who forgiveth <05545> all <03605> thine iniquities <05771>; who healeth <07495> all <03605> thy diseases <08463>; {4} Who redeemeth <01350> thy life <02416> from destruction <07845>; who crowneth <05849> thee with lovingkindness <02617> and tender mercies <07356>;

TEV - "The Love of God" - 1 Praise the LORD, my soul! All my being, praise his holy name! 2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget how kind he is. 3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4 He keeps me from the grave and blesses me with love and mercy. 5 He fills my life with good things, so that I stay young and strong like an eagle.

KJV w/Strong# - {1} Yet now <06258> hear <08085>, O Jacob <03290> my servant <05650>; and Israel <03478>, whom I have chosen <0977>: {2} Thus <03541> saith <0559> the LORD <03068> that made <06213> thee, and formed <03335> thee from the womb <0990>, [which] will help <05826> thee; Fear <03372> not, O Jacob <03290>, my servant <05650>; and thou, Jesurun <03484>, whom I have chosen <0977>. {3} For I will pour <03332> water <04325> upon him that is thirsty <06771>, and floods <05140> upon the dry <03004> ground: I will pour <03332> my spirit <07307> upon thy seed <02233>, and my blessing <01293> upon thine offspring <06631>:
DHH - 1 “Escúchame ahora, Israel, pueblo de Jacob, mi siervo, mi elegido. 2 Yo soy el Señor, tu creador, que te formó desde antes de nacer y que te ayuda. No temas, Jesurún, pueblo de Jacob, mi siervo, mi elegido, 3 porque voy a hacer que corra agua en el desierto, arroyos en la tierra seca. Yo daré nueva vida a tus descendientes, les enviaré mi bendición.
NRSV - 1 But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen! 2 Thus says the LORD who made you, who formed you in the womb and will help you: Do not fear, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen. 3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring.
TEV - "The LORD Is the Only God" - 1 The LORD says, "Listen now, Israel, my servant, my chosen people, the descendants of Jacob. 2 I am the LORD who created you; from the time you were born, I have helped you. Do not be afraid; you are my servant, my chosen people whom I love. 3 "I will give water to the thirsty land and make streams flow on the dry ground. I will pour out my spirit on your children and my blessing on your descendants. 4 They will thrive like well-watered grass, like willows by streams of running water.
KJV w/Strong# - {14} And Jesus <2424> went <1831> forth <1831>, and saw <1492> a great <4183> multitude <3793>, and was moved <4697> with compassion <4697> toward <1909> them, and he healed <2323> their sick <732>. {15} And when it was evening <3798>, his disciples <3101> came <4334> to him, saying <3004>, This <3588> is a desert <2048> place <5117>, and the time <5610> is now <2235> past <3928>; send <630> the multitude <3793> away <630>, that they may go <565> into <1519> the villages <2968>, and buy <59> themselves <1438> victuals <1033>. {16} But Jesus <2424> said <2036> unto them, They need <5532> not depart <565>; give <1325> ye them to eat <5315>. {17} And they say <3004> unto him, We have <2192> here <5602> but five <4002> loaves <740>, and two <1417> fishes <2486>. {18} He said <2036>, Bring <5342> them hither <5602> to me. {19} And he commanded <2753> the multitude <3793> to sit <347> down <347> on <1909> the grass <5528>, and took <2983> the five <4002> loaves <740>, and the two <1417> fishes <2486>, and looking <308> up to heaven <3772>, he blessed <2127>, and brake <2806>, and gave <1325> the loaves <740> to [his] disciples <3101>, and the disciples <3101> to the multitude <3793>. {20} And they did all <3956> eat <5315>, and were filled <5526>: and they took <142> up of the fragments <2801> that remained <4052> twelve <1427> baskets <2894> full <4134>. {21} And they that had eaten <2068> were about <5616> five <4000> thousand <4000> men <435>, beside <5565> women <1135> and children <3813>.
NRSV - 14 When he went ashore, he saw a great crowd; and he had compassion for them and cured their sick. 15 When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a deserted place, and the hour is now late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves." 16 Jesus said to them, "They need not go away; you give them something to eat." 17 They replied, "We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish." 18 And he said, "Bring them here to me." 19 Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. 20 And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. 21 And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
TEV - "Jesus Feeds Five Thousand Men" - 13 When Jesus heard the news about John, he left there in a boat and went to a lonely place by himself. The people heard about it, and so they left their towns and followed him by land. 14 Jesus got out of the boat, and when he saw the large crowd, his heart was filled with pity for them, and he healed their sick. 15 That evening his disciples came to him and said, "It is already very late, and this is a lonely place. Send the people away and let them go to the villages to buy food for themselves." 16 "They don't have to leave," answered Jesus. "You yourselves give them something to eat!" 17 "All we have here are five loaves and two fish," they replied. 18 "Then bring them here to me," Jesus said. 19 He ordered the people to sit down on the grass; then he took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, and gave thanks to God. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 Everyone ate and had enough. Then the disciples took up twelve baskets full of what was left over. 21 The number of men who ate was about five thousand, not counting the women and children.

I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, 18 so that you, together with all God's people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's love. 19 Yes, may you come to know his love -- although it can never be fully known -- and so be completely filled with the very nature of God.

{14} Stand <2476> therefore <3767>, having your <5216> loins <3751> girt <4024> about <4024> with truth <225>, and having <1746> on <1746> the breastplate <2382> of righteousness <1343>; {15} And your <3588> feet <4228> shod <5265> with the preparation <2091> of the gospel <2098> of peace <1515>; {16} Above <1909> all <3956>, taking <353> the shield <2375> of faith <4102>, wherewith <3739> ye shall be able <1410> to quench <4570> all <3956> the fiery <4448> darts <956> of the wicked <4190>. {17} And take <1209> the helmet <4030> of salvation <4992>, and the sword <3162> of the Spirit <4151>, which <3603> is <3603> the word <4487> of God <2316>:
NRSV - 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
14 Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. 15 As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. 16 With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
TEV - "The Whole Armor of God" - 10 Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. 11 Put on all the armor that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks. 12 For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. 13 So put on God's armor now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground. 14 So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight around your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, 15 and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. 16 At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One. 17 And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. 18 Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people. 19 And pray also for me, that God will give me a message when I am ready to speak, so that I may speak boldly and make known the gospel's secret.
KJV w/Strong# - {15} And the seventh <1442> angel <32> sounded <4537>; and there were great <3173> voices <5456> in heaven <3772>, saying <3004>, The kingdoms <932> of this <5026> world <2889> are become <1096> [the kingdoms] of our Lord <2962>, and of his Christ <5547>; and he shall reign <936> for ever <165> and ever <165>. {16} And the four <5064> and twenty <1501> elders <4245>, which <3588> sat <2521> before <1799> God <2316> on <1909> their seats <2362>, fell <4098> upon their faces <4383>, and worshipped <4352> God <2316>, {17} Saying <3004>, We give thee thanks <2168>, O Lord <2962> God <2316> Almighty <3841>, which <3701> art <3701>, and wast <3701>, and art <3701> to come <2064>; because <3754> thou hast taken <2983> to thee thy great <3173> power <1411>, and hast reigned <936>.
NRSV - 15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever." 16 Then the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 singing, "We give you thanks, Lord God Almighty, who are and who were, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.
TEV - "The Seventh Trumpet" - 15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The power to rule over the world belongs now to our Lord and his Messiah, and he will rule forever and ever!" 16 Then the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones in front of God threw themselves face downward and worshiped God, 17 saying: "Lord God Almighty, the one who is and who was! We thank you that you have taken your great power and have begun to rule!
