<GT> Isaiah 51

KJV w/Strong# - {11} ...the redeemed <06299> of the LORD <03068> shall return <07725>, and come <0935> with singing <07440> unto Zion <06726>; and everlasting <05769> joy <08057> [shall be] upon their head <07218>: they shall obtain <05381> gladness <08057> and joy <08057>; [and] sorrow <03015> and mourning <0585> shall flee <05127> away.

NIV - 11 The ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

NRSV - 11 ...the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

<RR1> 2 Corinthians 4

KJV w/Strong# - {6} For God <2316>, who <3588> commanded <2036> the light <5457> to shine <2989> out of darkness <4655>, hath shined <2989> in our hearts <2588>, to [give] the light <5462> of the knowledge <1108> of the glory <1391> of God <2316> in the face <4383> of Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>.

NIV - 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

NRSV - 6 For it is the God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

<RR2> 2 Corinthians 5

KJV w/Strong# - {14} For the love <26> of Christ <5547> constraineth <4912> us; because we thus <5124> judge <2919>, that if <1487> one <1520> died <599> for all <3956>, then <686> were all <3956> dead <599>: {15} And [that] he died <599> for all <3956>, that they which live <2198> should not <3371> henceforth <3371> live <2198> unto themselves <1438>, but unto him which died <599> for them, and rose <1453> again <1453>. {16} Wherefore <5620> henceforth <3568> know <1492> we no <3762> man <3762> after <2596> the flesh <4561>: yea <1161>, though <1499> we have known <1097> Christ <5547> after <2596> the flesh <4561>, yet <235> now <3568> henceforth <2089> know <1097> we [him] no <3765> more <2089>. {17} Therefore <5620> if <1487> any <1536> man [be] in Christ <5547>, [he is] a new <2537> creature <2937>: old <744> things are passed <3928> away; behold <2400>, all <3956> things are become <1096> new <2537>. {18} And all <3956> things [are] of God <2316>, who <3588> hath reconciled <2644> us to himself <1438> by Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>, and hath given <1325> to us the ministry <1248> of reconciliation <2643>;

{20} Now then we are ambassadors <4243> for Christ <5547>, as though God <2316> did beseech <3870> [you] by us: we pray <1189> [you] in Christ's <5547> stead <5228>, be ye reconciled <2644> to God <2316>.

NIV - 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

NRSV - 14 For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. 15 And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them. 16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view,we know him no longer in that way. 17 So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation;

20 So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

<B1> 1 John 4

KJV w/Strong# - {9} In this <5129> was manifested <5319> the love <26> of God <2316> toward <1722> us, because <3754> that God <2316> sent <649> his only <3439> begotten <3439> Son <5207> into <1519> the world <2889>, that we might live <2198> through <1223> him. {10} Herein <5129> is love <26>, not that we loved <25> God <2316>, but that he loved <25> us, and sent <649> his Son <5207> [to be] the propitiation <2434> for our sins <266>.

NIV - 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

NRSV - 9 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

<B2> John 1

KJV w/Strong# - {17} For the law <3551> was given <1325> by Moses <3475>, [but] grace <5485> and truth <225> came <1096> by Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>.

NIV - 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

NRSV - 17 The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

<B3> Hebrews 10

KJV w/Strong# - {1} For the law <3551> having <2192> a shadow <4639> of good <18> things to come <3195>, [and] not the very <846> image <1504> of the things <4229>, can <1410> never <3763> with those <846> sacrifices <2378> which <3739> they offered <4374> year <1763> by year <1763> continually <1336> make <5048> the comers <4334> thereunto <4334> perfect <5048>.

{4} For [it is] not possible <102> that the blood <129> of bulls <5022> and of goats <5131> should take <851> away <851> sins <266>. {5} Wherefore <1352> when he cometh into <1519> the world <2889>, he saith <3004>, Sacrifice <2378> and offering <4376> thou wouldest <2309> not, but a body <4983> hast thou prepared <2675> me:

{9} Then <5119> said <2046> he, Lo <2400>, I come <2240> to do <4160> thy will <2307>, O God <2316>. He taketh <337> away <337> the first <4413>, that he may establish <2476> the second <1208>. {10} By the which <3739> will <2307> we are sanctified <37> through <1223> the offering <4376> of the body <4983> of Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> once <2178> [for all].

NIV - 1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.

4 because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;

9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

NRSV - 1 Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered year after year, make perfect those who approach.

4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body you have prepared for me;

9 then he added, “See, I have come to do your will.” He abolishes the first in order to establish the second. 10 And it is by God’s will that we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

<B4> Micah 6

KJV w/Strong# - {8} He hath shewed <05046> thee, O man <0120>, what <04100> [is] good <02896>; and what <04100> doth the LORD <03068> require <01875> of thee, but to do <06213> justly <04941>, and to love <0160> mercy <02617>, and to walk <03212> humbly <06800> with thy God <0430>?

NIV - 8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

NRSV - 8 He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

<B5> Matthew 9

KJV w/Strong# - {35} And Jesus <2424> went <4013> about <4013> all <3956> the cities <4172> and villages <2968>, teaching <1321> in their synagogues <4864>, and preaching <2784> the gospel <2098> of the kingdom <932>, and healing <2323> every <3956> sickness <3554> and every <3956> disease <3119> among <1722> the people <2992>.

NIV - 35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. `

NRSV - 35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness.

<B6> Matthew 18

KJV w/Strong# - {1} At <1722> the same <1565> time <5610> came <4334> the disciples <3101> unto Jesus <2424>, saying <3004>, Who <5101> is the greatest <3187> in the kingdom <932> of heaven <3772>? {2} And Jesus <2424> called <4341> a little <3813> child <3813> unto him, and set <2476> him in the midst <3319> of them, {3} And said <2036>, Verily <281> I say <3004> unto you, Except <3362> ye be converted <4762>, and become <1096> as little <3813> children <3813>, ye shall not enter <1525> into <1519> the kingdom <932> of heaven <3772>. {4} Whosoever <3748> therefore <3767> shall humble <5013> himself <1438> as this <5124> little <3813> child <3813>, the same <3778> is greatest <3187> in the kingdom <932> of heaven <3772>. {5} And whoso <302> shall receive <1209> one <1520> such <5108> little <3813> child <3813> in my name <3686> receiveth <1209> me.

NIV - 1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3 And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.

NRSV - 1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a child, whom he put among them, 3 and said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

<B7> Matthew 5

KJV w/Strong# - {5} Blessed <3107> [are] the meek <4239>: for they shall inherit <2816> the earth <1093>.

NIV - 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

NRSV - 5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

<B8>Luke 15

KJV w/Strong# - {11} ...A certain <5100> man <444> had <2192> two <1417> sons <5207>: {12} And the younger <3501> of them said <2036> to [his] father <3962>, Father <3962>, give <1325> me the portion <3313> of goods <3776> that falleth <1911> [to me]. And he divided <1244> unto them [his] living <979>. {13} And not many <4183> days <2250> after <3326> the younger <3501> son <5207> gathered <4863> all <537> together <4863>, and took <589> his journey <589> into <1519> a far <3117> country <5561>, and there <1563> wasted <1287> his substance <3776> with riotous <811> living <2198>. {14} And when he had spent <1159> all <3956>, there arose <1096> a mighty <2478> famine <3042> in that land <5561>; and he began <756> to be in want <5302>.

{17} And when he came <2064> to himself <1438>, he said <2036>, How <4214> many <4214> hired <3407> servants <3407> of my father's <3962> have bread <740> enough <4052> and to spare <4052>, and I perish <622> with hunger <3042>! {18} I will arise <450> and go <4198> to my father <3962>, and will say <2046> unto him, Father <3962>, I have sinned <264> against <1519> heaven <3772>, and before <1799> thee, {19} And am <1510> no <3765> more <3765> worthy <514> to be called <2564> thy son <5207>: make <4160> me as one <1520> of thy hired <3407> servants <3407>. {20} And he arose <450>, and came <2064> to his father <3962>. But when he was yet <2089> a great <3112> way <3112> off <568>, his father <3962> saw <1492> him, and had compassion <4697>, and ran <5143>, and fell <1968> on <1909> his neck <5137>, and kissed <2705> him. {21} And the son <5207> said <2036> unto him, Father <3962>, I have sinned <264> against <1519> heaven <3772>, and in thy sight <1799>, and am <1510> no <3765> more <3765> worthy <514> to be called <2564> thy son <5207>. {22} But the father <3962> said <2036> to his servants <1401>, Bring <1627> forth <1627> the best <4413> robe <4749>, and put <1746> [it] on <1746> him; and put <1325> a ring <1146> on <1519> his hand <5495>, and shoes <5266> on <1519> [his] feet <4228>: {23} And bring <5342> hither the fatted <4618> calf <3448>, and kill <2380> [it]; and let us eat <5315>, and be merry <2165>: {24} For this <3778> my son <5207> was dead <3498>, and is alive <326> again <326>; he was lost <622>, and is found <2147>. And they began <756> to be merry <2165>.

NIV - 11 ...“There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. 21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

NRSV - 11 ...“There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the property that will belong to me.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 A few days later the younger son gathered all he had and traveled to a distant country, and there he squandered his property in dissolute living. 14 When he had spent everything, a severe famine took place throughout that country, and he began to be in need.

17 But when he came to himself he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired hands have bread enough and to spare, but here I am dying of hunger! 18 I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired hands.” ’ 20 So he set off and went to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him. 21 Then the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly, bring out a robe—the best one—and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 And get the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; 24 for this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found!’ And they began to celebrate.

<B9> John 15

KJV w/Strong# - {9} As the Father <3962> hath loved <25> me, so <2504> have I loved <25> you: continue <3306> ye in my love <26>. {10} If <1437> ye keep <5083> my commandments <1785>, ye shall abide <3306> in my love <26>; even <2531> as I have kept <5083> my Father's <3962> commandments <1785>, and abide <3306> in his love <26>.

NIV - 9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

NRSV - 9 As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

<B10> John 17

KJV w/Strong# - {1} These <5023> words spake <2980> Jesus <2424>, and lifted <1869> up his eyes <3788> to heaven <3772>, and said <2036>, Father <3962>, the hour <5610> is come <2064>; glorify <1392> thy Son <5207>, that thy Son <5207> also <2532> may glorify <1392> thee:

{6} I have manifested <5319> thy name <3686> unto the men <444> which <3739> thou gavest <1325> me out of the world <2889>: thine <4671> they were, and thou gavest <1325> them me; and they have kept <5083> thy word <3056>.

{10} And all <3956> mine <1699> are thine <4674>, and thine <4674> are mine <1699>; and I am glorified <1392> in them. {11} And now <3765> I am <1510> no <3765> more <2089> in the world <2889>, but these <3778> are in the world <2889>, and I come <2064> to thee. Holy <40> Father <3962>, keep <5083> through <1722> thine <4675> own name <3686> those <846> whom <3739> thou hast given <1325> me, that they may be one <1520>, as we [are].

{17} Sanctify <37> them through <1722> thy truth <225>: thy word <3056> is truth <225>. {18} As thou hast sent <649> me into <1519> the world <2889>, even <2504> so have I also <2504> sent <649> them into <1519> the world <2889>. {19} And for their sakes I sanctify <37> myself <1683>, that they also <2532> might be sanctified <37> through <1722> the truth <225>. {20} Neither <1161> pray <2065> I for these <5130> alone <3440>, but for them also <2532> which shall believe <4100> on <1519> me through <1223> their word <3056>; {21} That they all <3956> may be one <1520>; as thou, Father <3962>, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also <2532> may be one <1520> in us: that the world <2889> may believe <4100> that thou hast sent <649> me. {22} And the glory <1391> which <3739> thou gavest <1325> me I have given <1325> them; that they may be one <1520>, even <2531> as we are one <1520>: {23} I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made <5048> perfect <5048> in one <1520>; and that the world <2889> may know <1097> that thou hast sent <649> me, and hast loved <25> them, as thou hast loved <25> me.

NIV - 1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

6 “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.

10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.

17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

NRSV - 1 After Jesus had spoken these words, he looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you,

6 “I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them. 11 And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one.

17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 “I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

{42} And daily <2250> in the temple <2411>, and in every <2596> house <3624>, they ceased <3973> not to teach <1321> and preach <2097> Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>.

NIV - 12 The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people...

42 And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease to teach and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah.

<B12> Acts 9

KJV w/Strong# - {32} And it came <1096> to pass <1330>, as Peter <4074> passed <1330> throughout <1223> all <3956> [quarters], he came <2718> down <2718> also <2532> to the saints <40> which <3588> dwelt <2730> at Lydda <3069>. {33} And there <1563> he found <2147> a certain <5100> man <444> named <3686> Aeneas <132>, which had kept <2621> his bed <2895> eight <3638> years <2094>, and was sick <3886> of the palsy <3886>. {34} And Peter <4074> said <2036> unto him, Aeneas <132>, Jesus <2424> Christ <5547> maketh <2390> thee whole <2390>: arise <450>, and make <4766> thy <4572> bed <4766>. And he arose <450> immediately <2112>. {35} And all <3956> that dwelt <2730> at Lydda <3069> and Saron <4565> saw <1492> him, and turned <1994> to the Lord <2962>.

NIV - 32 As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the saints in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, a paralytic who had been bedridden for eight years. 34 “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and take care of your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up. 35 All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.

NRSV - 32 Now as Peter went here and there among all the believers, he came down also to the saints living in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, for he was paralyzed. 34 Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your bed!” And immediately he got up. 35 And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.

<B13> Colossians 2

KJV w/Strong# - {6} As ye have therefore <3767> received <3880> Christ <5547> Jesus <2424> the Lord <2962>, [so] walk <4043> ye in him: {7} Rooted <4492> and built <2026> up in him, and stablished <950> in the faith <4102>, as ye have been taught <1321>, abounding <4052> therein <846> with thanksgiving <2169>.

NIV - 6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

NRSV - 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

KJV w/Strong# - {16} Let the word <3056> of Christ <5547> dwell <1774> in you richly <4146> in all <3956> wisdom <4678>; teaching <1321> and admonishing <3560> one <1438> another <1438> in psalms <5568> and hymns <5215> and spiritual <4152> songs <5603>, singing <103> with grace <5485> in your <5216> hearts <2588> to the Lord <2962>. {17} And whatsoever <5100> ye do <4160> in word <3056> or <2228> deed <2041>, [do] all <3956> in the name <3686> of the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424>, giving thanks <2168> to God <2316> and the Father <3962> by him.

NIV - 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

NRSV - 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

{28} There is neither <3756> Jew <2453> nor <3761> Greek <1672>, there is neither <3756> bond <1401> nor <3761> free <1658>, there is neither <3756> male <730> nor <3761> female <2338>: for ye are all <3956> one <1520> in Christ <5547> Jesus <2424>.

NIV - 26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

28 There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

<B16> Philemon 1

KJV w/Strong# - {1} Paul <3972>, a prisoner <1198> of Jesus <2424> Christ <5547>, and Timothy <5095> [our] brother <80>, unto Philemon <5371> our dearly beloved <27>, and fellowlabourer <4904>, {2} And to [our] beloved <27> Apphia <682>, and Archippus <751> our fellowsoldier <4961>, and to the church <1577> in thy house <3624>:

{4} I thank <2168> my God <2316>, making <4160> mention <3417> of thee always <3842> in my prayers <4335>, {5} Hearing <191> of thy love <26> and faith <4102>, which <3739> thou hast <2192> toward <4314> the Lord <2962> Jesus <2424>, and toward <1519> all <3956> saints <40>;

{10} I beseech <3870> thee for my son <5043> Onesimus <3682>, whom <3739> I have begotten <1080> in my bonds <1199>:

{15} For perhaps <5029> he therefore <5124> departed <5563> for a season <5610>, that thou shouldest receive <568> him for ever <166>; {16} Not now <3765> as a servant <1401>, but above <5228> a servant <1401>, a brother <80> beloved <27>, specially <3122> to me, but how <4214> much <4214> more <3123> unto thee, both <2532> in the flesh <4561>, and in the Lord <2962>? {17} If <1487> thou count <2192> me therefore <3767> a partner <2844>, receive <4355> him as myself <1691>.

NIV - 1Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our dear friend and fellow worker, 2 to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier and to the church that meets in your home:

4 I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, 5 because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints.

10 I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, who became my son while I was in chains.

15 Perhaps the reason he was separated from you for a little while was that you might have him back for good— 16 no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a man and as a brother in the Lord. 17 So if you consider me a partner, welcome him as you would welcome me.

NRSV - 1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our dear friend and co-worker, 2 to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

4 When I remember you in my prayers, I always thank my God 5 because I hear of your love for all the saints and your faith toward the Lord Jesus.

10 I am appealing to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become during my imprisonment.

15 Perhaps this is the reason he was separated from you for a while, so that you might have him back forever, 16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. 17 So if you consider me your partner, welcome him as you would welcome me.

<B17> Philippians 2

KJV w/Strong# - {1} If <1487> [there be] therefore <3767> any <1536> consolation <3874> in Christ <5547>, if <1487> any <1536> comfort <3890> of love <26>, if <1487> any <1536> fellowship <2842> of the Spirit <4151>, if <1487> any <1536> bowels <4698> and mercies <3628>, {2} Fulfil <4137> ye my joy <5479>, that ye be likeminded <5426>, having <2192> the same love <26>, [being] of one <4861> accord <4861>, of one <1520> mind <5426>.

{5} Let this <5124> mind <5426> be in you, which <3739> was also <2532> in Christ <5547> Jesus <2424>:

NIV - 1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

NRSV - 1 If then there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy, 2 make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

5 Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,
